The airport is located 11km (7 miles) to the west of Krakow’s city center

Driving Directions
The airport is easy to find. It can be reached from the city center by four different roads, and all are well signposted. The airport also has its own exit ramp from the A4 motorway.

Car Parking
Located opposite the passenger terminal, the parking lot (tel: 4812 639 3065 or 4812 295 3178) can accommodate 600 vehicles, including 15 places for buses.

Car Hire
Car hire is offered by Avis, Europcar, Hertz and National/Citer.

Public Transport
Road: Taxi: A 24-hour taxi service is offered by Radio Taxi 9191 - the airport’s official taxi provider. Journey time to the city center is about 20 minutes. Bus: The bus stop is located directly at the roundabout, in front of the passenger terminal. Buses are operated by the municipal transport authority, MPK. Buses 192 and 208 both depart frequently for the city center throughout the day. Rail: Train: Since May 2006 a shuttle train operates between the airport and the city center. During daytime there are services every 30 minutes. Early in the morning and late in the evening there are hourly services. The Kraków-Balice train station is located 200m (656ft) from the passenger terminal and can easily be reached on foot (journey time: 5 minutes) or by taking the free shuttle bus service (journey time: 3 minutes).

Information and Help Desks
The information desk (tel: 4801 2285 5120) is located in the central area of the passenger terminal.

Airport Facilities
Money and communications: There is a bank, an ATM and two foreign exchange offices in the passenger terminal. A post office is also available. Wireless Internet access is available in the public area of the passenger terminal, in the departure hall, the executive lounge and the VIP lounge area. Eating and drinking: Several restaurants, cafes and bars serving food, snacks and cold and hot drinks are available in the passenger terminal. Shopping: Shops are located in the public area of the passenger terminal. On offer is a wide range of souvenirs, jewelry, spirits, tobacco, and food products. The duty-free shop is situated in the international departure hall and is available to passengers of international flights. Cosmetics, alcohol, tobacco, sweets and souvenirs are sold here. Luggage: The airport has a left luggage office (tel: 012 639 3048) located in the public area next to the exit from the domestic and international arrival lounge. Luggage trolleys are available free of charge and without any deposit in the parking lot, by the entrance to the passenger terminal and in the arrival lounge. Other facilities: A first aid facility is located in the public area of the passenger terminal. The airport chapel is available to all travelers during airport opening hours. A baby changing room is available 24 hours a day free of charge and is located at the mezzanine in the public area of the passenger terminal.

Conference and Business Facilities
The Executive Lounge (tel: 0126 393 354 or 0604 878 076) is equipped with a computer and Internet access, two places to work with a notebook, satellite TV, printer, copier, fax machine, card phone and visual information system with a current timetable. A VIP lounge, designed for up to 16 persons, is available for a fee after prior booking.

Facilities for Disabled Travelers
The airport offers good accessibility to travelers with disabilities. Toilets and lifts are adjusted to the needs of disabled people, and there are signs indicating to wheelchair users the best routes through the terminal building and to the parking lot. There are also professional, trained personnel ready to help in every situation.

Hotels
Morawica (tel: 012 285 5800), Pod Kamykiem (pension) (tel: 012 638 2724), Villa Zakamycze (tel: 012 425 2826) and Hotel Dom Erazm (tel: 012 625 4142) are all are located within 5km (3 miles) of the airport.
