Cuisine varies greatly from one region to another. On the whole, the meat specialties are better than the fish dishes.
Things to know: Table service is usual in hotel restaurants. Bars and cafes have counter and table service. Most places serving alcohol close by 2200.

japrak (vine or cabbage leaves stuffed with meat and rice).

Slivovica (a potent plum brandy).

maraskino (made of morello cherries).

Traminer,
Riesling and
Vugava.
Tipping: 10 per cent is expected by hotels, restaurants and taxis.
NightlifeCinemas stay open until 2300, restaurants until midnight and nightclubs until 0300. Belgrade has excellent nightlife with a range of performance arts to enjoy: Operas, concerts, theater, many late-night cafes and clubs.
