| The scale of the United States’ capital city, Washington, D.C., is suitably grand, with spacious boulevards, gleaming marble monuments, and the many museums of the Smithsonian. But there’s more to D.C. than politics. Interesting neighborhoods abound, including: Georgetown, the preppy enclave surrounding the university; funky Adams Morgan, a smaller version of Manhattan’s East Village; Dupont Circle, a hub of chic restaurants; and Chinatown, an up-and-coming spot near D.C.’s sports complex, the MCI Center. |
