Tour Overview
Day 1 Kampala
Arrive in Kampala any time.
Day 2-3 Queen Elizabeth National Park (B,2L,2D)
Travel west towards Lake Edward to this famous park, with Uganda's largest wildlife populations. Enjoy a morning game drive, with hopes of catching glimpses of buffalo, hippo, elephant, lion, and even the elusive leopard. Choose from a number of optional activities, including chimp tracking in the Kyambura Gorge or forest walks in the Maramagambo Forest.
Day 4-5 Murchison Falls National Park (B,L)
A full day journey brings us to Murchison National Park. Enjoy an included half day wildlife safari and some time at the spectacular waterfalls. This park, dissected by the Nile River, is known for abundant wildlife including hippos, elephants, and crocodile.
Day 6-8 Jinja
Head south to the shores of Lake Victoria and renowned as the "Source of the Nile", Jinja is fast becoming the thrill-seeker's capital of Africa. Fill your days rafting or kayaking down the Nile River, mountain biking in the Mabira Forest, volunteering with a local project, or just enjoying the relaxed vibe of Jinja.
Day 9-10 Kisumu
Travel past banana plantations and rural villages as you cross into Kenya. Spend your time in Kisumu at your leisure; we recommend a visit to the active local market and a boat ride for hippo and bird spotting on Lake Victoria.
Day 11-12 Masai Mara National Reserve (1B,2L,2D)
Head for the Masai Mara National Reserve to continue your safari in search for the park's "Big 5". Marvel down at gazelles, impala, and ostrich from wonderful vistas along the Esoit Oloololo Escarpment. The varied wildlife, natural environment, and local Masai culture come together to provide a spectacular safari experience.
Day 13 Nairobi (B,L)
Enjoy one final morning game drive before travelling through the Great Rift valley on to Kenya's capital for a final evening with your group.
