Cycle through the lovely landscapes of Laos on this two-week active adventure. Starting in Luang Prabang, we climb into the limestone mountains, then descend for a number of days through H'Mong villages to Vang Vieng, a travellers' hangout town, and continue on to the capital, Vientiane.
Day 1 Arrive Bangkok
Arrive in Bangkok at any time.
Day 2 Bangkok
Take to the streets for a fantastic ride through the backstreets of Bangkok. These are places that few people ever visit and you will see a unique side of the 'big' city as we weave our way through tiny laneways and streets.
Day 3 Chiang Khong
Travel onto Chiang Khong which sits in Thailand overlooking the Mekong River and Laos.
Day 4-5 Mekong River
Spend two days travelling down the wonderful Mekong River, spending the night in Pak Beng. Stop at the Buddhist caves at Pak Ou before arriving into Luang Prabang in the late afternoon.
Day 6-7 Luang Prabang
You won't want to leave this charming town. Spend a day on a bike ride exploring the local region and a waterfall and take time on your own to wander the temples, visit the King's Palace or just relax.
Day 8-11 Vang Vieng
Spend three days cycling to the travellers town of Vang Vieng. Challenge yourself as you climb up into the mountains but the rewards are unforgettable, mountains all around with small villages clinging to their sides. In Vang Vieng, enjoy a much deserved rest day.
Day 12-13 Vientiane
Back on the bikes we ride for two more days to the capital city, Vientiane, probably the quietest city in Asia and celebrate the end of the ride.
Day 14 Depart Vientiane
